Travelling Moleskines®
An example of one themed Moleskine®, this one sponsored by Thompson Design Partners
We have teamed up with The Big Draw to undertake a travelling Moleskine® project beyond compare!
A number of these iconic sketch books have been unleashed into the world to return to us by the end of September. The project will culminate in a fabulous arty party and exhibition in October to help raise funds for the Campaign for Drawing (Registered Charity No: 1114811)
A Moleskine® has just landed in my hands? What do I do? How does this work?
- Individuals, groups and organisations expressed an interest in becoming involved in the project and were entrusted with a travelling Moleskine®
- All Moleskine® recipients are asked to register it upon receipt so that we can track its travels and then they do their stuff!
- Each Moleskine® has an individual theme located in the inner cover. The recipient is invited to make their creative interpretation of the theme within the pages – draw, doodle, sketch, stitch, prick pin holes, etch the cover, make pop ups, compose poetry, the possibilities are endless!
- Upon completion they pass the carefully packaged Moleskine® on to a trusted creative compadre by hand or give £1.24 to enable the Royal Mail to do it for them.
- The process continues until the Moleskine® is resplendent in its completed glory.
- All Moleskines® must be returned to us by the end of September to take part in a very special exhibition which everyone involved gets invited to!
Follow the journeys of the Travelling Moleskines®

- They may be added to our Roll Call
So, what exactly is a Moleskine®?
A Moleskine® is an iconic black book, beloved by creative types (Picasso, Van Gogh, Hemmingway etc) It can be a notebook, diary, sketchbook, city guide or planner.
