PROGRAMME IDEAS

We’re also looking for anyone with interesting ideas for great programmes that will get people in Leeds talking. So if you have a project or work with a community group that could make a great story, then we want to hear from you.

Do you have a great idea for a show that will turn heads across Leeds? Then Made in Leeds wants to hear from you. Whether you’re a budding presenter and producer eager to host your own programme, or you’re involved in an exciting project that you reckon would make great telly, then come talk to us.

We want to read proposals of the shows you’d like to be involved in making, what makes your idea stand out, and what opportunities there might be for sponsors.

Faces and places are key to Made TV and we want ideas that mirror the Leeds region as well as the people that make the city so great.

We’re interested primarily in lifestyle and factual programming. For the next great writers out there, unfortunately we’re not looking for drama or scripted submissions at the moment. The content can be serious or light-hearted but should always sit comfortably within the Made TV tone:

Quirky / Original / Witty / Colourful / Challenging

Submissions must include:

Title of Show
Description of the show – No more than 100 words.
Number of episodes
Sample Episode – Take us through a sample episode including a proposed basic running order, show durations should be either 24mins or 48mins.
Budget – How much will the show cost to produce? A basic indication of cost per episode is all that is required.
Sponsorship Opportunities – All programmes should be produced with an ideal business or brand that can match the content. Please suggest a number of local/national brands that you believe would suit association with the programme
Multi-Platform Opportunities – Made TV embraces the 2nd screen, briefly explain to us how you think your idea could become more interactive across various devices.

Submissions:

Don’t worry about writing a long proposal – ideally we want to you to summarise it in a single page.

Proposals should be sent via email to: ideas@madetelevision.tv

For presenters pitching ideas, a 60 second video link should accompany the one page proposal. The content of the video submission is entirely up to you but should give us a good feel for your abilities as a presenter and a good understanding of the proposed show. Made in Leeds TV will not accept file transfers, only links to uploaded material (e.g. Youtube/Vimeo)
