Emma has been a tourist guide, a dinner lady and a musician; she is now a writer. She has made short films (Elipticus and Ripe), which have been shown in festivals in the UK as well as Internationally. She wrote her first play 'For Sale', written specifically for the house it was performed in (April 2007) and a two part radio drama 'The Silver Hammer Gated Community Radio Hour' for Interplay's 'I Love West Leeds' Festival 2007. 'Forgotten Things' is her first play for Red Ladder. She is currently developing a TV Series: ‘Northern Souls’ - a dark comedy/satire - co writing with Caroline Mitchell and is writing another play, ‘Ugly’ for Red Ladder Theatre Company which plans to Tour Autumn-Winter 2010. She divides her time between writing, working with young people on creative projects, making experimental music with her present band ‘Portable Pony’, lecturing in Creative Writing and DJing. She lives in Bradford. She loves tea..
