What happens if you mix a bit of the magic you make with a group of people who know how to share a good thing? A: Something amazing!

Readers of this site will know we’re all about shining a light on the good and not always so great stuff about where we live. This website, over the last four years, has been our licence to be nosy, meet amazing people, ask questions, get a couple (not nearly enough) free drinks, over indulge in culture, throw parties, put on conversational events about the things you think matter, and help develop the blogging culture within Leeds and hopefully Yorkshire. Without being too cheesy we’re on a mission to help people get the most out of where they live, and we believe a blog, (not just writing for this one) gives you the self permission to discover whatever it is that takes your fancy and find like minds, and be part of creating a community.

That’s why we’re really excited to announce that we’ll be joining Talk About Local this year at their national annual unconference and following on from the series of ‘cultural conversations’ we facilitated in Teesside last year, we’re returning, and this year the fifth Talk About Local will be held at Mima in Middlesbrough, a stunning venue.

So if you are just dipping your toe into the waters of blogging and social media, or thinking about it, or interested in sharing the best of what happens in your postcode, or keen to find people who care about the same stuff you do, then we think the relaxed, informal environment will be right up your street. Making, creating and  enjoying culture might be the stuff that keeps you awake at night, and alive all day, so why not come and mix with a group of people ranging from bloggers, journalists, publishers &  social media enthusiasts, who love sharing, creating and connecting. You may just come away feeling inspired, have picked up some really useful tips, and ultimately supported and armed with a few new moves!
