Creative Producer & Programme Manager

Yorkshire Dance

Yorkshire Dance is seeking an experienced Creative Producer and Programme Manager to join our

highly-committed team to lead a programme of artistic activity that supports artists and ensures

Yorkshire Dance maximises its potential as artist studios and creative hub, for artists, participants

and audiences.

This is a full-time role, in which you will manage the delivery of artistic project work with artists,

including the residency programme, artist membership and other creative projects. You will work

with and support independent artists to create work and facilitate their development.

The role includes the administration and coordination of projects such as performance and

workshop events in and outside the building. As a member of the management team, you will be

expected to contribute to the strategy for artist development and to the development of new

project work.

You will have excellent knowledge of dance administration, management and production, welldeveloped

dance appreciation skills and a proven track record of supporting artists to develop

successful project work. You will be a confident and effective project manager and fundraiser and

have an ability to work strategically to develop partnerships and networks.

The post is offered as a permanent post. You will report to the CEO & Artistic Director and will

line manage an Artistic Project Internship as well as freelance artists and project staff.

Yorkshire Dance is based in central Leeds, where it manages a thriving building with three fullyequipped

dance studios, meeting rooms and office space and a range of artistic tenants.
