Cattle Grid

Last night a group of moovers and steakers descended upon one of Leed’s newest eateries Cattle Grid. Located behind the Corn Exchange, Cattle Grid will hopefully reanimate this once thriving part of Leeds.

We were joined by Cattle Grid owner Steve Kovak, who in a quite unprecedented and very refreshing fashion revealed some of the real economic decisions involved in developing a brand and successful business.

Whilst he’s evidently absolutely passionate about sourcing the finest ingredients he’s also as determined to grow a successful chain of restaurants serving affordable food.

I’ll leave the foodie reviews to those who joined us on the night. I have to be honest I find it positively impossible when our host has showered us with the generosity of ordering ‘anything we want’ to be critical of the experience. For my part I had a delicious rib eye and twice cooked chips which finished me off. Others started with ribs and had desert!
