A little Leeds HomeTourist adventure 19 August 2011 Betty Lawless All I spotted this on my walk into Leeds city centre. Accompanied by my 8. 11 & slightly resistant 13 year old we were going off to the art gallery to look at Damien Hurst show. This was on the side of the Merrion Centre. I was feeling slightly sad as I had just seen that Neville's DIY store had gone. One of my favourite shops in town for sticky backed plastic.... on arrival at the art gallery we had a look round, of course I can't show the Damien Hirst stuff so we went and had a look at a show which you could get a bit closer to...13 year old more impressed by this show ...and just to prove you can interact with the work..... I've always thought that Meatloaf modeled for this....kids didn't know who I was talking about... after the art gallery and on route to the library the boys discuss the strategic moves on the chess board... after getting out 21 books from the library we decide it's lunch time and head to the best place to eat with hungry kids who need carbs.... Gilda always has a smile for the kids.....we've been going along time a good and cheaper way to feed 3 kids in town.. and you can look at yourself while you're eating, if you want... after lunch and a visit to Games Workshop (my middle child's idea of Heaven), we go and wait for the bus home... ...what I saw on the seat in the bus stop... ....a small purchase from Games Workshop... on the bus home after our tourist fun.
Fantastic Home Tourist piece – great to see someone doing it well.
