Proper Job theatre company are looking for an experienced Production Manager for a brand new outdoor production in July 2012.

About the Show
Cycle Song is a brand new, large-scale community choral opera, commissioned as part of imove, a Cultural Olympiad programme in Yorkshire.

The show will take place in Brumby Hall grounds, Scunthorpe, on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July and will feature over 1,500 local residents as performers alongside a cast of professional opera singers, dancers and aerial artistes.

The opera, written by Ian McMillan with a score by Tim Sutton, celebrates the life and achievements of Albert ‘Lal’ White, the Scunthorpe steelworker who won countless trophies for cycling, including a silver medal at the 1920 Antwerp Olympic games. The show celebrates the beauty of cycling and the fact that, with the right mix of grit and determination, seemingly ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things.

Cycle Song is a co-production by imove, Proper Job theatre company and Scunthorpe Cooperative Junior Choir and is delivered in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council.
