Urban Outfitters 20% off night and Wire Club after party

The time has come again for Urban Outfitters to celebrate their birthday as the Leeds store turns 2 on April 29th 6pm -9pm

To celebrate they are having a party with all of their best friends, so of course you’re invited! You should expect to see:

  • 20% off absolutely everything in store
  • FREE GOODIE BAGS for everyone who makes a purchase
  • FREE WRISTBANDS FROM WIRE CLUB for free entry on Thursday, AND Saturday night
  • DJ’s from Bad Sneakers, Silver Hips and The Golden Owl will be playing music in store all night to get you in the party mood
  • Catwalk UK will be out in full force scouting for models and TV extras to find some new beautiful faces for 2010 so dress to impress!
  • Bliss Beauty Spa will be on hand for some pampering, complimentary nails, facials, lashes etc to get you ready for the rest of your evening out!
  • Vidal Sassoon are back again offering expert consultations and discounts!
  • FREE BAR from Brothers Cider all night long.
  • Shaky Jakes will be giving out free samples of their fantastic milkhakes for you to enjoy!

As a special treat for our readers The Wire and Urban Outfitters are offering one of you  a very big, very special goodie bag overflowing with treats! Everyone who comments below telling us what they would put in a goodie bag to give to Urban Outfitters for their birthday will be entered. But what do you get for the shop that has everything? Please note you will need to attend the event to collect your goodie bag.

  1. I’d put in a load of fresh as poss Polaroid film, because they like their cameras down there, a copy of the new Actress album because I hear it’s amazing and the tunes are usually good at UO, and a big bag of old-fashioned sweets of their choice.

    I think I’d need an extra-big goodie bag to fit this! I would give the Leeds branch another floor so that they could stock even more Boutique brands (more A.P.C and tba!) and vintage accessories. And I’d also give them a bottomless bag of Pick ‘n’ Mix because that would be amazing.

  6. I would give them a huge warehouse filled with metal artwork with a elaborate catwalk down the middle so that they could continue on throwing amazing parties with gorgeous models showing off their clothes and free champagne for all.

I would include: A camera to take some snazzy snaps of the event, some party feet to aid those tired tootsies that will be in some fabulous shoes, a pizza – cos you’re gonna need it to line the stomach with a free bar on the go, then some alka seltzers, cos those will be needed the morning after the free bar…some yorkshire tea, in celebration of being in Leeds and a pretty floral type business card holder for the networking/schmoozing…

  10. A goodie bag pass the parcel style. Every layer is an awesome pressie with the best of everything. Some sweeties, a cd, free entry to a club, gig tickets, urban outfitters vouchers. The best every goodie bag, it keeps on giving.

  11. I think a little woven basket packed full of goodies would be the way forward for UO! Inside I would love to see postcards of new and upcoming bands (maybe even a few cheeky gig tickets thrown in)!
    Ooo and of course there has to be a disposible camera (which you can ask the customer to leave at the end and make a huge collage of photos on a wall!?)
    And, since its UO’s birthday, what would a party be without a cake? Little mini cakes all round I say! Oh and no goodie bag is “good” without stickers… lots and lots of stickers and uber cool badges.
    Finally, a blank card, so the customer can make a DIY birthday card for UO and again these could go on a huge notice board/collage to show how much we really appriciate UO being in Leeds!

  12. For your ultimate birthday present i would get you: a cup cake making kit including recipe booklet, cases and piping bag so you can make uber cool cakes. While your cupcakes are cooling following being in the oven, you can be making your sock animals with the kit i also bought you for your birthday and whilst all that is going on you can listen to the brand new album by 65daysofstatic which i also bought you for your birthday. I am that nice 😀

  15. I would put in a copy of a Laura Marling CD. As their clothes always remind me of her music.
    I would put in a Old lady in a rocking chair, because when i walk into the non-clothing part of the shop in Leeds it always looks old fashion and this would complete its look haha!
    Then to finish it off Tequila and Limes!

  16. I would put some balloons, lots of favourite sweeties like sherbet dipdabs, catherine wheels, etc, some fun birthday stickers for the staff to hand out and a voucher for every member of staff to buy that piece they’ve had their eye on (they deserve it!)Happy birthday!! x

  17. A vhs of maid marrion and her merry men, a SNES, some purple lycra cyclin shorts and a backy on my bike one day this summer, oh and a Lionel Richie vinyl.

  18. I would put in a CD by Florence and the Machine, lots of old penny sweets, some pastel coloured nail varnish, a piece of birthday cake (a chocolate one!) and maybe a can of pimms and lemonade because it’s summer!

  20. I would give them a lovely hand spraypainted graf mural from the twinkley wonderland of my head, straight onto one of their lovely walls. If they wanted it of course…otherwise just a big kiss for being so awesome

    I’d put some of those little girly things you always keep in your handbag.. Mini nail-varnish, mini mirror, nail files sets, perfumed tissues and mini perfumes!

I would give them a photographer, with a silly set background and a photograph mobile hanging from the ceiling of the store so that everyone who comes in Urbans will be photographed in all their Urban Outfitters glory and so Urban Outfitters will have everlasting memories in their stores of how their clothes make us Leeds people very uber happy. x

    For your birthday, a fantastic store that has everything I would put in a goody bag for you, the following:

    * I’d gather Urban Outfitter shoppers who had just purchased something from the store and get them all to model their purchase and take a picture of it. I’d then turn the photo into a canvas.

    * I’d make some free hug/pat on the back/you’re the best cards which can be distributed to staff who work there, they can hand out to each other – they deserve it!

    * A peition (that has already got loads of sigatures on) to hold a fashion week in Leeds with Urban Outfitters being one of the main events. This could then be instore for more people to sign.

    (finally – as if the goody bag is too big I won’t be able to hold it)

    * Some party poppers, streamers and balloons as that’s how to start a party.

  36. HAPPY BIRTHDAY URBAN OUTFITTERS!!!!!!

    If i could give you a birthday present, first of all i would make you the prime minister, i think you would do better than anyone up for election 🙂

    I would also bake a giant birthday cake made from Urban Outfitters coolest designs.

    I would give you a huge street party going all through Leeds city centre, with Urban Music and dancing.

    And of course, i would give them the mystery box.
