Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Katie, I’m a designer at Poke London full-time, and a part time blogger and crafter.
What inspires you?
In both design and crafts, I’m mostly inspired by the 120+ blogs I read every day and browsing on Flickr. Being a web designer, everything I create is virtual, so I like to make handcrafted stuff as I feel more connected to it and it will last a lot longer.
What theme did you receive and how was it responding to it?
I got ‘Crafty’ quite appropriately, and since I’ve just got into embroidery it seemed natural to try and work that into my page. I’d never done paper embroidery before but decided to give it a go anyway. I used skills from my day job too; designing the page in Illustrator using Herb Lubalin typography as inspiration.
If you had five more hours a day, what would you do?
More drawing, reading, and hanging out with my cat.
