If music be the food of love…

Simon Fogal (@SimonFogal) from I Like Press reports on what he’ll be eating and supping during this weekend’s music extravaganza Live At Leeds, and asks some of Leeds’ favourite musicians where they’ll be stopping off for sustenance too…

A day filling your ears with new and favourite sounds leaves a hunger for more…and a raging appetite in the belly region. At I Like Press we love our grub as much as our music, and so we asked our favourite acts to recommend the best places to nip to during the ear-fest marathon that is Live At Leeds 2012.

To get started: definitely coffee at Laynes, I love my flat whites and these boys do one of the best I have ever had. Ace. I’d probably treat myself to a Fruit Knot or sneaky mozzarella and pesto bloomer/sarnie while I’m there too; it’s going to be a long and exciting day!

After rallying round the press all morning come lunch-time my belly will definitely be rumbling, and of course I’ll be hitting the skins for the I Like Trains ‘The Shallows’ debut at The Academy at 3pm. So a quick but filling bite for me and I might send the TM down for Primos gourmet hot dog for the ILT boys. Nom Nom.

To wrap it up and celebrate the awesome day, a former Scarborough boy loves nothing more than good old fish and chips. The only place to rival my coastal tastes is Fish&. Just the trick to soak up some of those beer suds, Lime and Chilli Battered Fish and Chips. I just hope they are open!
