Obviously, being Armley residents here at The Culture Vulture we could be accused of bias, but what the hey, we are proud of our love for West Leeds and are very excited that the fabulous I Love West Leeds Festival is oh so nearly upon us again.
The Festival is jam packed with a fantastic line up of events and whilst we would love to detail the veritable feast of delights in its minutiae we will avoid the temptation and point you in the direction of the Festival brochure, and limit ourselves to a few of our personal highlights. As a disclaimer we may or may not be involved with them ourselves but thats all a part of the fun!!
We have already posted about the fabulous new exhibiton ‘Comings and Goings’ by Casey Orr and highly recommend you jump on the number 16 bus and keep an eye on the walls of HM Prison Leeds.
We would also highly recommend you get your legwarmers on and head down to the wonderful roller disco on 9th July from 7-9pm at Interplay Theatre. You may even spot the rare sight of a culture vulture on wheels if you are lucky!
Lastly but by no means least is ‘Strangers and Fiction’ on 19th July from 12pm at Interplay Theatre, a Book Swap and Big Lunch all rolled in together. Last years book swap was a thing of legends, but with the added addition of lunch and fabulous donations of books from Transworld this event can only get better!
