Celebrate the festive season and enjoy an alternative day of Christmas shopping by heading to Holbeck Urban Village on Saturday 12th December where local businesses will be selling everything from pickles and jams to artwork and jewellery for great unconventional gifts.
Take time browsing for the perfect pressie, meet the people who have handmade special festive goodies and treats and grab some mulled wine or cider from the local hostelries on a fun, relaxed day of festiveness – all only 10 minutes’ walk away from the frenzy of Leeds city centre.
Leeds Vintage Fairs will be welcoming shoppers to the listed Green Sand Foundry for an inspiring new 100% Handmade fair promoting local designers and artists who will showcase and sell their work which includes bespoke jewellery, artwork and objects for the home and beautiful items to wear.
Next door The Midnight Bell will be roasting chestnuts and serving warm cider from their outdoor bar while entertaining visitors with a grotto, a reindeer hunt and traditional fairground games, perfectly located next to the recently revamped ‘Wonderwood’ urban green space.
In a neighbouring courtyard The Cross Keys is holding its annual seasonal fair with a range of stalls from local independent businesses and regional food and drink suppliers. Visitors can pick up a Yorkshire Christmas tree, foodie stocking fillers from organic café Out of the Woods or sample some festive beers served up from The Cross Keys’ very own converted 1950s ice cream van, Mr Frothy.
