There is a revolution happening… you know it, we all know it. Street Food, Great British Street Food served to the Great British public by passionate, hard working people.

Street Food Traders are a new breed of chefs, we have to think on our feet, we have to face our public, we have to have personality and we have to be tough. New days bring new challenges to overcome, no turning up in a kitchen with an army of staff for us, most of the time we arrive in a muddy field, get our wellies on and our heads down…

We work in the smallest of trailers, in front of the public and serve delicious, fresh, homemade food and always with a smile, no hiding in the back of a kitchen behind a team of waiters for us. We love to talk, we love to get into conversation about what we do and why we do it in turn providing our public with a story to tell and a memory of great food.

Northern StrEats has been set up by food traders for food traders. We’ve hunted high and low and found the best of the best…Fish& reinventing the chippy with flavours like lemon, lime & chilli batter sustainable fish& chips from their beach hut in Leeds, Lulabelles the award winning pink campervan serving Yorkshire tea and sumptuous homemade seasonal cakes, Las Parellas serving freshly made seafood paella, Hungry Gecko with Masterchef finalist Jackie Kearney serving vegetarian Asian food from a striking silver bullet caravan, Gingers Comfort Emporium with her adults only ice creams, Moorish Feast with the most amazing Moroccan cuisine… So, who wouldn’t want to go to an outdoor event or festival with these offerings on hand? And this is only a tiny taste of what Northern StrEats can offer the true foodie or the event organiser who wants more than the normal burger van.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to hear about regular pop up events/food markets and restaurants.

Northern StrEats are holding a Networking event on January the 24th at Leeds’ Holbeck Underground Ballroom, home of Slung Low Theatre, hosted by food critic, BBC Radio4 Food Programme contributor and author of Street Food Revolution, Richard Johnson. So, if you love food, are planning an outdoor event or are considering starting up a new food business come along and meet us all. We’re all very friendly!
