Friday 2nd April
Harewood House opens to the public again, with four new exhibitions including 2009 Northern Art Prize winner Paul Rooney, and Leeds based Nous Vous (as we have already reported here)
As a parent of a very inquisitive toddler we are very excited by the launch of new GeoPods which sound amazing! Three great domes of delight, mixing fun and learning, science, art & culture… see you there!
2nd -5th April RHS Harlow Carr (near Harrogate) has a resident Easter Bunny it’s gardens, who just happens to have hidden eggs all over the gardens…from 10am -4pm over the Easter weekend, there are crafts and everything! Thanks to @benmckenna for the tip off!

Saturday 3rd April
The Corn Exchange, Leeds plays host to the cakiest ladies in the west, The Marvellous Tea Dance Company. Delightful buns and mellifluous music all in vintage style, what’s not to love?
Leeds Young People’s Film Festival has a host of workshops including making trailers, making movies with your mates and more. Throughout the day, there may yet still be time to get booked on. Otherwise get along to one of the many cool films showing. Do check out the website as the festival runs until the 9th April, and we want your kid’s reviews!
@clairecircuit tells us we need to get along to the newly refurbished basement of Leeds based Crash Records to enjoy Bilge Pump, Double Muscle and Lebonans, 2-5pm. There will be giveaways too apparently!
@luluartist got our mouths watering by informing us of Bingley Fine Food Festival, nom nom, then @jacquipybus went and made us really curious by tweeting a picture of SQUIRREL PIE (the fair is on Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd) watch out for a stampede on them pies!
Sunday April 4th
@ChateauGateaux tells us to get along to Charlie Cake Park top of Armley Town Street at 2pm for an Easter Egg Hunt! We are sure this is but one amongst many Easter egg hunts, but it’s dinky and at the end of our road, so we are a little bit biased! Why not use the comments box to tell us all about your local events…
Thwaite Mills has boat rides, face painting, bouncy castles and more. A little treasure of a place (in South Leeds) recommended by @ilovewestleeds

Hebden Bridge Duck Race, now in it’s 14th year @ellyoracle thinks this event starts around 3ish, we will let you know if it’s otherwise! Update @markpimlott’s daughter confirms it’s 3.15pm

Quick update – Squirrel pie bought at the Bingley Food Fest has now been eaten – & v nice it was – quite a delicate animal as pies go – and v fine pastry too. had it with a bit of a “cold collation” of cheeses, trucklements etc bought at the festival.
