Businesswoman Julia Benfield has been rather busy in her spare time bringing a big new event, Sneaky Experience to Leeds.

Clues about the night are slowly being revealed on twitter and Facebook, and it’s clear that a rather magical, theatrical evening is afoot. It’s already a big hit in London but is Leeds ready? From live bands, to DJs and performers, all before and after the secret screening –  anything is possible. But why not read a bit more about it from Julia herself.

I’m sure I’m not the only one to love this secret craze that seems to be sweeping the country right now? Whether its tearooms, restaurants, club nights, and now it seems, all of the above thrown into what sounds like one pretty exciting night.

Sneaky Experience is holding extraordinary events in unusual settings, from churches to parks to skyscraper rooftops. The venue is a part of the theme, promising so much more than just a trip to the cinema, or a drink down the pub.

The idea, and part of the fun is to follow the cryptic clues in the form of written posts and video clips on Facebook and  twitter hinting at the theme, location, dress code, and which mysterious film will be shown – all only a drop of what you will experience on the night.

The clues have already created quite a lot of hype, with fans attempting to guess the location and what film is to be screened – has anyone got it right yet?

What is known for the Leeds event is that the venue is Templeworks. Is this the a clue to the screening? Who knows, but with its Egyptian inspired pillars it certainly fits with the fancy dress theme, which is Egyptian, traveller or adventurer and you can dress up as creatively or low key as you please.

Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer
Adding to the cinematic experience, a variety of performers, magicians, actors, DJs and bands will welcome you into their world.  Among them are the tea-drinking, pipe-smoking, moustache-wearing Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer with his poetic catterwalling, and three times world DJ champion, DJ Switch.  This is just a taster of what’s to come and the party will continue into the night untill 1am, all with a licensed bar and great food.

Party goers are being encouraged to turn up promptly as it kicks off at 6.30pm for a very special start to the event which is on Saturday 4 June.

Due to demand all of the early bird tickets have now gone, but you can still bag yourself one for £15  here – not bad at all considering this is so much more than a trip to the cinema or a drink down the pub.

Please note that tickets are not available on the door.
