simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.’ F Scott Fitzgerald

The devastating, smouldering and perfect words of F Scott Fitzgerald are being translated and transported via the sweat, muscle and beauty of the Northern Ballet

‘The Great Gatsby’s tragedy and sensuality will be met with and executed by David Nixon’s innovative and seemingly boundless vision. Past productions from NBT have included works such as Cleopatra, A Streetcar Named Desire and Swan lake (with a controversial male lead).

Choreography, David Nixon OBE

Music, Sir Richard Rodney Bennett CBE and performed by the Northern Ballet Sinfonia
