On a day that wasn't hot and roasting I took the boys and two friends to Ilkley Lido. A beautiful place with a view of the cow and calf in the distance. Always packed when very hot but lots of space today.It's a photographers' dream but a real challenge to take pictures there. I spent sometime talking to reception and lifeguards convincing them that I didn't want to photograph anyone other than my own kids. I managed to get some photographs of the signs. I like signs. .I managed to get a few pictures of the Lido while no one was in the water and the boys were in the indoor heated pool warming up.The boys are made of stern stuff and spent the afternoon jumping into the very very cold water...
To help them warm up we head to the Lido cafe for sandwiches, chips and delux hot chocolates.........the cafe is full of signs...I like signs....
as the clouds gather the boys go for one last play in the water.One of the best features of the Lido is the fountain. It looks like a great big wet cake.Time to leave this lovely oasis of a place. A great day out though. Most come more...

Great photos – I really want to go now and challenge myself to brave the freezing water!
The following time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to read, however I truly thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you might fix if you werent too busy on the lookout for attention.
I’m not quite clear which part of this blog on ilkley lido is ‘a bunch of whining’…and I’m certainly not on the look out for your attention.
