From the 21st-25th of April Test Space is very proud to be hosting Ink for Aid. In the wake of the recent disaster in Japan, a community of local artists and promoters from all over Yorkshire have been moved to work together in order to raise money and awareness in support of the people most affected by one of the biggest earthquakes in the history of our planet.

On the 25th April the Beating Arts collective will be hosting a one day charity event at Test Space, Melbourne Street, Leeds which will include an auction of submissions, live music & art, tattoo convention and a local school competition. Artists from all over the world have been submitting artwork to Ink for Aid following a call out to our creative friends across the world. Artists involved so far include Starvin Artist, Van ii, Fon Fon, Matt Saunders, Woman 158, Kev Mundy, Dirty 30, Diego Azaldegui, Cageone, Cbloxx, Oliver Redding, Mishfit, Dom Williams, Leon D.arts, 5-digits, They Tlg, Roberto Morales, gx2, Jools Matthews and many more.

The event is being organised by Joy Gilleard (AKA CBLOXX) a Leeds based artist, youth arts practitioner and co-owner of the Beating Arts brand; DJ, promoter and musician Ema Stafford; tattooist Elliot Jay; illustrator, designer and Co-owner of the beating arts brand Gemma Gilleard and Jewellery Designer Sarah Ellis-Neil, owner of Medusa Bijoux.

All money raised will go to charities including Save the Children to support the on going relief effort in Japan.
