We are pretty cock a hoop about our latest in the series of bloggers and social media events Wednesday 6th April

Art and language, nature and culture, sound and communication – the first major UK exhibition of sculpture by renowned Spanish artist Jaume Plensa.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park presents an extraordinary body of new and recent work which encourages tactile and sensory exploration.
This vibrant exhibition includes a 50-metre curtain of poetry made of suspended steel letters, large illuminated sculptures in the landscape, and engraved gongs that visitors can strike to fill the gallery with sound.

The Event

An exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ preview of the Jaume Plensa exhibition for bloggers and social media enthusiasts. Don’t worry if you haven’t yet heard of him we are interested in introducing a broad range of people who write blogs to the enjoy his work and find out more. You might remember Channel 4’s Big Art Project where Jaume created Dream in St Helens?

Yorkshire Sculpture Park will lay on refreshments on arrival and then take guests to the Underground Gallery for a brief intro to the show by Jaume Plensa at 6.30pm followed by a tour with one of the YSP curators and a Q&A session.

They will also offer a minibus service from Wakefield Westgate station. Picking up at 6pm, and then take guests back to the station at 8pm.

Parking will be free between 6-8pm for those who want to travel by car.
