Leeds first Pannier Markets

This Saturday 24th April (12pm -4pm)  (which the weather forecasts as fine and sunny) sees the beginning of  a regular reason to get your bike out and pedal down to Granary Wharf, either as someone trading wares  from your panniers or as a healthy type, full of granola and such like, ready to buy artisanal produce and feel good about the world.

I will most likely do what I always do and get in a taxi, because I’m lazy and like to fritter my very small amount of earnings down the drain, but let me tell you taxi drivers are very interesting, knowledgable types who need the likes of me to tell them what’s going down in town so they can spread the word…so it’s a public service I’m doing alright!

Anyway, once you’ve filled your ‘bag for life’ with uniquely crafted goodies (think food, drink, arts, crafts, fashion, jewelry,  that kinda stuff) you may fancy taking a peak at the artful graffiti from internationally renowned Mark Wigan, or follow the pied piper esque storyteller Joe Collins through the dark arches…

When you’ve done all that you can wend your way along to LS6 to enjoy the rather bohemian left banky ness of the first LS6 Beer Festival and then forget where you left your bike, or if you even had one!
