Come and picnic on the set of your very own period drama with Pride and Prejudice 7pm, Friday 18 June at Wentworth Castle Gardens. Meet the Bennet sisters in their quest for true love in the sumptuous setting of these Grade I listed gardens.

The adaptation of Jane Austin’s novel is the first of three summer productions being staged in this magical theatre under the stars. Also coming up on Sunday 1 August is Much Ado About Nothing and on Sunday 22 August, Beauty and the Beast.

If you can’t make one of these theatrical evenings out but still fancy a nosey round this historic site, the 50 acre gardens are open to the public. You can take a guided tour or visit one of their summer events including fairs, talks and treasure hunts.
