The Visitor Centre at Yorkshire Sculpture Park will be transformed this winter thanks to the imaginative paper cuts and screen prints created by artist Rob Ryan which will go on display from 11th November.
Famed for his detailed hand-cutting of delicate papers into intricate patterns, often revealing whimsical stories or poetic phrases, Ryan will be decorating the four metre-long shop window at YSP with a huge paper cut panel. Framed one-off paper cuts and limited edition screen prints, exclusive to YSP, will be on display throughout the Centre.
A Private View of the exhibition will be opened by fashion designer Sir Paul Smith, with whom the artist has collaborated on a number of projects since they first work together on the PINK Spring/Summer 2006 collection. We have managed to secure two pairs of tickets to this very exclusive invitation-only event on Wednesday 11th November just for our readers. Believe us it is almost worth it just to get your mitts on the fabulous invitation which was designed by Rob himself – your very own special edition artwork to keep!
To be in with a chance of winning, head on down to the comment box and tell us in which city Paul Smith opened his first shop in 1970. Good Luck!
Please be sure to read our terms and conditions which you are deemed to have accepted by entering! Winners will be picked by random so why not give it a go! Closing date: 9th November 2009.
If you are not one of our lucky winners, you can still head over to Yorkshire Sculpture Park as the exhibtion runs until 21 February 2010 .
The lucky winners are Lynette and Rubyskella – congratulations! An email is winging its way to you now…
