Valentine Papercut 3

A Papercut for my Valentine!

Valentine’s Day is only 2 weeks away!!! But not to panic. If you want something a little different and original, Chirpy has some cool workshops where you can make your loved one something more personal and heartfelt, says Harriet Vaight …

I had a sudden panic that it’s Valentine’s Day in a couple of weeks, waaaa! Always find it difficult to get him indoors something nice and a bit different, but that isn’t completely cheesy and covered in pink hearts. So did a bit of investigating and found that Chirpy in Chapel Allerton is hosting a papercutting workshop where you can make your own personal handmade papercut artwork for your Valentine. Comes with fancy packaging and everything. Perfect! That’s that sorted then, plus there’s something in it for me as I get to have a go at papercutting which I’ve always fancied trying. It’s on Thursday 6th February, 6.30-8.30pm and costs £30. Come join me, who knows, we could be the next Rob Ryan!

They’ve also got a workshop on Valentine’s night itself where you can choose a hand turned wooden figure and paint them up to be your other half, tee hee! As well as a Chocolate Making workshop where you temper chocolate and make truffles, and one where you can make your Valentine a lovely heart cushion. Check them out at www.chirpystore.co.uk. Great way to make your loved one something more personal and heartfelt, as well as have a little fun yourself in the process.

  1. Love this Phil and love the concept. And the website is awesome. I would question if attending a workshop on ACTUAL valentines night would make that special someone feel so special … unless of course they are with you. I am aware that my other half would kill me if I didn’t do the meal, flowers and full devoted attention bit and instead popped off and made her a cushion.
