We are feeling a little rosy glow of pleasure right now that we have some truely interesting, passionate bloggers taking time to write about stuff they feel strongly about..

Here are a couple of recent blog posts…Phil Kirby who like the best cities is dirty, mean, contrary, idiosyncratic, check out his last post to see what I mean…he is a man on a mission, other than donning leg warmers we can pretty much send him on any intrepid excusion

Claire Circuit has been getting us excited about DIY music culture, Vintage Clothing, Roller Dolls and more

Elly Oracle has given our readers plenty to think about with her guides and reviews to music in Leeds

Leeds queen bee/blogger Bangs and a Bun mixes the sweet and the sharp as ever with her reviews of theatre and trips to country houses

And they are just a few of our exciting new writers…forgive us for not giving a thorough run down of all our contributors, read their posts and decide for yourself…(Playwright Emma Adams, Leeds Grub Katie Bolton, Designer Adrian Riley, Artist/Editor Lucy Bannister, Arts & Social Media genie Fran Graham, Chef turned IT man Paul Hart, Brand and foodie Phil Dean, Film Geek and Festival Director Laurence Boyce, artist collective Nous Vous, Brand man Dean Vipond, Manchester is Ace blogger Carolyn Hughes, Dr Who nut Penny D, Sheffield based culture vulture Joanne Mateer)

We are looking to develop our blogging network further, and are specifically interested in hearing from people with the following passions keen to hear your unique point of view (we aint too keen on recycling press releases, they make a good starting point for investigation, but ultimately this blog is about the multiplicity of voices that care about the place and the people)

Visual Arts: We are of the opinion there is some great stuff happening in the city, yet we constantly hear that no one knows what’s on or why they would wade through some dreadful self indulgent waffle to make the effort to go… could you whet the appetite of the laziest couch potato to get them along to an exhibition?

Family stuff: Written by parents or young people, we are keen to hear insight from younger people and their families about cultural/heritage stuff…know anyone who writes engagingly?

Places: Do you live in Yorkshire and consider yourself a regular culture vulture, excited about the under the radar stuff that we should all know about?

Alternatively why not tell us what you think we should be featuring more of or doing less of!

Whilst we don’t have money to pay you, as we are entirely unfunded, we hope that we can help you by promoting your great writing, and  lay on cake…free tickets, press passes, insider scoops with people and places you really want to meet/see

Write to emma {at} theculturevulture.co.uk with a short synopsis of why you would like to write about, why you are the bees knees,  and what really really excites you! Keep it clean (ish).
