I'm a typical down to earth Yorkshireman. I try not to be too serious and enjoy a good laugh in life. I'm fascinated by the heavy engineering of the Victorian era. The mammoth construction of the railways and canals. These fed the ever hungry mouth of the Industrial revolution that shaped our world today. These construction feats still stand as a lasting legacy, and testament to the men who built them. I feel it is a shame when the hard work gone in to building them has been left to decay. There can be a sad beauty in photographing these places. I have very little time for modernisation, it is mostly plastic and lacking any real character, it very rarely stands the test of time. I hope some of my photographs will prove to be a positive collection of images for future generations to come.
