If like me you were (or maybe you still are) a Black Beauty fan then this is going to appeal to you. Broughton Hall near Skipton are putting on an open air adaptation of Black Beauty this summer.

Running over the weekend of 15-17th July, there are performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Before Friday and Saturday’s shows spectators also have the opportunity to meet ‘Black Beauty’ and members of the cast in pre-theatre workshops.

The show sounds like it will be pretty special too as it is open air and once the performance reaches the walled gardens the audience can settle down on the lawn, watch the show and enjoy the rest of the evening there.

Spectators are being encouraged to take along their own picnic which I think is lovely. An open air performance in gorgeous surroundings with your own picnic, sounds idyllic doesn’t it?

Tickets are £18 adult / £15 concessions / £10 children and performances are:
Friday 15 July: 7.30pm (meet Black Beauty at 6.00pm)
Saturday 16 July: 2.30pm and 7.30pm (meet Black Beauty at 1.00pm and 6.00pm)
Sunday 17 July: 2.30pm

Tickets can be purchased by visiting the website at http://www.blackbeautylive.com/
