The Love Arts Awards recognise the contribution of people, groups and organisations in Yorkshire who have made a real difference to people’s mental wellbeing through the arts. Our awards are a fantastic way of giving something back. It is a chance for you to show your support and appreciation of others. Do you know someone who you think has made a real difference? Then nominate them for an award! Activities should have taken place between April 2011 and August 2012 to be eligible for nomination in our awards, encompassing the 2011 Love Arts festival.
Here are details of our five award categories:
Arts volunteer – A volunteer who has made an amazing contribution to supporting the arts, mental health and wellbeing.
Performing arts – A fantastic performance (this includes film, theatre, dance, music) that raises awareness of mental health and/or learning disabilities whilst challenging stigma and discrimination.
Visual arts – An individual artist or group/organisation who has made an exceptional contribution to promoting understanding of mental health and wellbeing through their work.
Arts in health – A health/social care service which has found creative ways to use the arts to enhance the experience of people using their service.
Judges choice award – Something that doesn’t fit into any of the above categories that has caught your eye and made a difference to improving awareness of mental health and learning disabilities in Yorkshire.

All you have to do is come up with that special person or team, and the reasons why they should win. Fill in our nomination form now and show someone you value their hard work, dedication and achievements!
Our awards ceremony will take place on Monday 29 October in Leeds. Shortlisted nominees from each of the five categories will be invited to attend the ceremony where we will be announcing the winners and celebrating their achievements.
