New shoots…

There have been lots of new developments in the past few weeks with plenty of new independent bars and restaurants opening in the city. In case you are interested, I have done a little round up of them all for you.

Two well established favorites, Salts Deli and Out of the Woods have opened second branches in The Light and Granary Wharf respectively. Out of the Woods have also opened a temporary Christmas gift store selling all sorts of locally produced foodie treats and gift hampers. Also down at Granary Wharf you will find Fazenda, a Brazilian steak restaurant where skewers of meat are bought to the table and carved right before your eyes.

On Call Lane new bars Brooklyn (with its first floor steak grill) and Call Lane social have opened their doors and round the corner on Lower Briggate you will find 2 swanky new  establishments; Baracoa Luxe Bar and Indian restaurant AM Kitchen (Steph’s review of the opening night here).

If you haven’t heard already (really where HAVE you been?), a new collaborative food and drink emporium has opened on Dock Street called Dock Street Market. I went to the opening party last week and have visited once more since. It is still in its very early stages but once it is all up and running, it should be a really great venue.

Another excellent venue is Aglassto a cosy little food and wine bar with excellent wine list and a great selection of simple continental style foods.

If you know of any others, let us know in the comments section.
