A fantastic year long Harewood Card for One Lucky Family

noddy
Friday 3rd April to Sunday 5th July
Harewood House, Leeds

Yipeee! It’s spring at last, and that means Harewood opens its historic doors to the public once again, with a diverse menu of events, exhibitions and performances planned, not least celebrating 40 years of Noddy, Talvin Singh (Mercury Music prize winner 1999) plus there’s even a Jelly event later in the year that we think would enlighten even Heston Blumenthal.

This month our Harewood bound gaze is firmly focused on Home Truths a wide reaching exhibition asking ‘what is home? where is it to be found?’. Exciting and challenging works of internationally recognised contemporary art will be seen alongside works from Harewood’s own collection (including paintings by Turner, Girtin, Malton, Piper and John Carr’s original drawings for Harewood House).

The exhibition also aims to question notions of home versus homelessness and ideas of permanence versus transience as well as differing cultural attitudes to the concept of home, notions of sustainability, power, identity and the role of the individual.

The exhibition affords access to quarters not open previously to the general public, so get along and have a nose at what made a great house a home for many.

The Culture Vulture members have already been offered the chance to enter a competition for five lucky winners, and guests, to be invited to an exclusive preview night, to quaff bellinis and delve into all the nooks and crannies both upstairs and down. Although you may have missed out on that opportunity, never fear as the exhibition continues until 5th July.

Sign up or register to be the one lucky family to win a Harewood Card for the entire year for 2 adults/3 children which entitles you to free entry to everything within the house and grounds. Click here to see the full programme of events.

Closing Date Tuesday 21st April
