Charity Film Screening of Serenity

Flyer 2

There’s going to be a charity film screening of Serenity on Friday 27th of September 2013, says Niamh Foley of the Leeds Browncoats …

Tickets cost £10 and include the screening, entry to the Mighty Fine Shindig at The White Swan and a donation to Invest in ME and Equality Now.

The screening is on behalf of Can’t Stop the Serenity – a worldwide event that runs from April to Oct annually.

It’s to support Joss Whedon’s (director of Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, Avengers Assemble amongst others) chosen charity Equality Now. Equality Now works worldwide to bring equality to all and to help women’s rights. Invest in M.E is down to one of the crew mates recovering from M.E.

We’d love to see you at the film screening on the 27th of Sept from 6-9pm but if you can’t make it, please consider donating £10 or whatever you can afford via www.leedsbrowncoats.com

The after party aka Mighty Fine Shindig, will have as much alcohol as you want or can afford, (yes they serve real ale), quizzes, raffles and goodies to buy. More information is available on the blog.

The White Swan do scrumptious food and although they should finish serving at 9pm, you can pre order something yummy to be waiting for you!!

If you’d like a Buffy Option it costs from £7.50-£12.50pp for 1-6 people, so you’ll need some people to go in with.

Alternatively, you could order from the ordinary menu. Please ensure you give at least 3 days notice: I’d be ordering by Tuesday to be on the safe side. You can pay in the evening.

We’d love to raise a substantial amount of money for these worthwhile charities and are looking forward to a great night with the Shiniest people in the ‘Verse!
