Atmospheric Grade 1 Listed Temple Works Leeds is transformed into Twin Peaks (population slightly less than 51, 201) in a tribute to the series that arguably laid the foundations for all series…

This fund-raiser promises to transport you into the surreal world of Twin Peaks by way of recreating The Roadhouse, R&R Diner, Black Lodge & One Eyed Jacks…Experience a night of high kitsch, high jinks and high kicks.

Come dressed as your favourite character, from eye patched cheerleader to log carrying lady and everything in between…it’s not essential but our compère Mysti Valentine will judge all willing entrants in the Miss Twin Peaks Pageant, awarding prizes for best look a likes.

Would your home made cherry pie pass muster with Agent Cooper? Bring one along to the R&R diner (where you can be assured of a cup of ‘damn fine’ coffee) and exchange it for a chip to chance your arm in winning fine artistic prizes at One Eyed Jacks.

Leave your bike outside The Roadhouse, and lose yourself in the heady mix of music from the surreal and sexy to the vibrant upbeat vortex of some of the North’s finest off the wall musical heroes. We have some evidence of deep southern artists making their way Northwards too…

The Black Lodge is not your average chill out cocktail bar, but then nothing about this event is average…
We also hear rumours of a Lynchian Box Car Cinema….don’t watch this space, come and take a seat…

So what are you waiting for?  The confirmed line up is looking fantastic…head over to the website to discover more…www.firewalkwithme.co.uk

To win a very special hot chip entitling you to a pair of tickets all you need do is tell us in the comments box below who your favourite Twin Peaks character is and why. Entries chosen by 31st August…

  1. My favourite twin peaks character is Audrey Horne. Red lipsticked meandering through diners, twirling spectrally to no music at all, laura’s death is to her a chance to knot a cherry stem with her tongue in her father’s brothel, an oportunity to slink around pencil skirted charms to an FBI agent with no real motivation beyond seducing him. Doll-faced blank eyed charm is everything, passion can be summoned from jukebox jazz but the child-like sexiness of a fallen angel like Audrey Horne, who skips through scenes of murder, incest, rape like it was yesterday’s donuts is a rare delight, her pranks and beauty pageant smile make her a clear idol, the perfect role model for a messed up mind.

  2. My favourite Twin Peaks character is Agent Cooper. Why? Such style, such dedication to duty, such wonderful dictaphone manner. My Special Agent!

  3. My favourite Twin Peaks character is Diane. Is she a stunning, enigmatic beauty – the woman behind Agent Cooper’s brilliance? Or is she a little grey-haired old lady as deaf as Gordon Cole, wearing tweed jumpers with a bun in her hair? Or is she just Cooper’s imaginary friend? Enigmatic or what?!

  4. I would say Dale Cooper because he is a very deep and interesting character making him good to watch.

  5. My favourite character has to be BOB, purely for the fact that he is in everyone but is no one and the story of how Frank Silva was cast by David Lynch makes him all the more special.

  6. My favorite character is Dale Cooper ( played by Kyle MacLachlan ) because he is such a straight arrow but with dark corners to his psyche so that he enters fully into the mysterious dark athmosphere created in this chilling and unforgettable series. Who would have thought that America could produce this sort of cinema.

  7. You write wonderful articles about Twin Peaks! (Saw your Guardian article.)

My favorite character is the Log Lady. I live in western Washington, and when I lived east of Seattle, I visited locations where Twin Peaks was filmed many times. I think the current town I live in on the Olympic Peninsula may be more like Twin Peaks than North Bend, though.
