Be it Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Broadway’s West Side Story or Bollywood’s Josh, the tension of forbidden love has always caused thrill and heartbreak throughout the ages. My Stamping Ground is a fresh take on the familiar story of a torrid love affair amidst feuding gangs. This South Asian dance show with live music explores fighting forces that seem impossible to conquer. Get ready for a dance battle between classical and contemporary.

Featuring choreography by Yorkshire Dance, in collaboration with Nina Rajarina, live music by composer and vocalist Y Yadavan from a magnetic score created with rap lyricist Sujeeth and with a male-dominated cast, My Stamping Ground tackles the issue of gangs in the UK whilst celebrating the friendship and solidarity that groups of lads, often misconstrued as gangs, share.

We have a pair of tickets to be won so to be in with a chance register here
