We have featured several final shows in recent posts but we are always keen to highlight the fabulous work being undertaken graduating students in the region.  So it is a pleasure to spread the word about Octopus, the University of Leeds MA and MFA final show, which will be previewing on 3rd July from 6-8pm at Lifton Place within the University campus, and continue to show until 9th July between 11 and 5pm (closed Sunday).

The work from eight artists, includes painting, sculpture, installations, photography, drawing, books and experimental sound,  focuses around themes including the physical and emotional aspects of sound (pictured); the ordinary and extraordinary lives of women; and lost dreams, lost lives and lost innocence. To find out more about the artists and their work why not check out the group blog

There will also be the opportunity to get a glimpse into the future, or at least a taste for next years final show,  on Wednesday 1st July from 11-4.30pm at the Old Mining Building Ground Floor Studios. The interim show will feature the work of five artists who are halfway through their studies.
