The Other Market, 23 June

MonkeyPunch Productions bring you – The Other Market.

If we have not seen you at one of our successful Steampunk Markets (either Leeds or London) yet for one reason or another then hopefully this may feed your ideas… Due to a lot of potential traders getting in touch wanting to show off their creations with us, we have ended up needing to create more markets of a not-so-steampunk vein for other crafty people. This market is for makers and crafters of all sorts of genres and styles; from basques to buns, buttons to brooches, skulls to skirts – if you make, recycle or recreate your own stuff then we want to see you there!!

It is free entry and all ages are welcome to bring your kids and your granny… We are hoping to have this on a regular basis if we get a good attendance so come out and support your local up and coming businesses. We will have some craft workshops on as well as entertainment. There will be a tea and cake stall being run as well..

Mid afternoon entertainment from Kog Moorcroft.

The Holbeck Underground Ballroom*, 67- 71 Bath Road, Holbeck, Leeds, LS11 9UA. Saturday 23rd June 2012, 12 – 6pm.

*Walk underneath the main train station arch where the buses run towards the Hilton. Cross over at the lights to the “dalek” building (Bridgewater Place) and then turn right. This road is Water Lane. Stay on it and keep walking in a straight line. You’ll go past The Midnight Bell, the Cross Keys, David Street Cafe and Out Of The Woods (they have an artificial lawn on their corner kerb) and on this narrow street, you have the Beck running on the opposite side of the road. Just before you get the disused railway bridge in front of you, Bath Road is the turning on the left. The HUB is housed in 5 railway arches at the end. There is on street parking which have parking meters. These will need to be paid but are not as expensive as the ones in the town!

This is a not for profit venture. There will be more of this event in the future!
