  1. A teddy called Bruno Antony. He was jointed and if you tipped him up he was supposed to growl, but unfortunately he mooed like a cow! My dad bought him for me last minute 1 Xmas Eve (having had a good day at the races and some spare cash left) and I think he was the last one in the shop. I still have him and he will always remind me of my Dad who is sadly no longer with us.

  2. Lego, definitely, just loved being able to build so many different new toys each time I played with it, if I still had Lego, I still would.

  3. I had a cabbage patch doll, which I called Penny ????
I carried her around everywhere, and called her my baby???
One day we went to the circus, and trust me I wanted to sit at the highest point, and of which I remember Circus sitting was those mad scaffolding seating that against all health and safety rule is probably not allowed anymore ??
Well back to the story I dropped my baby (doll) down the back and started to scream and cry, a poor young circus assistant came running,
to see what the problem was only to get from my mother that
“shes dropped her baby down there”
The poor guy nearly fainted ??

  4. My favourite toy was my barbie doll I won in a School Raffle, age 10. I loved dressing her up in knitted clothes my nan had made for her!

  5. Mine was a doll called Rapunzel. I got her for my 1st birthday and I still have her now 22 years later, her head falls off a bit but shes still perfect.

  6. My favourite toy was a Cindy and her horse. I used to take it everywhere with me until I lost it at the seaside. Was gutted for months.

  7. I always pretended to love my doll in her pram but really I was a bit of a tomboy so I secretly played with my brother’s meccano. I had to sneak into his room when he was out and make weird and wonderful objects, then hurridly take the them apart again before he came home!

  8. Sarah Bash. What was commonly referred to as a “Fashion Doll”. 17 inches of plastic. Not a Barbie size, more a Tiny Tears size, but iin the style of a young woman. Sarah, had the added suffix of Bash, because one night after bathtime, Sarah was lain down too close the the coal fire, and the side of her head and her gorgeous main of red hair got rather singed. It was like one of those horror movies – Beautiful and coiffed on one side, melted on the other.

But hey, we loved her, she was our Sarah BAsh.

  9. marbles … i used to win all the boys in our street and had a great collection .. i was a bit of a tom boy then
