Neeta Madahar is the 2008-09 Bradford Fellow in Photography. The Fellowship is a partnership between the National Media Museum, Bradford College and the Univeristy of Bradford which supports established photographers in the development of their professional practice. This exhibtion in Gallery One will feature a selection of the work she has produced during her tenure, showcasing her unique imagery that immerses the viewer in a dreamlike seduction, teasing out the innate strangeness in commonplace situations. Not only that but Neeta will also be one of the guest speakers at MediaFest09, earlier in the day.
Gallery Two features ‘Drawings that Move: The art of Joanna Quinn’, the first-ever retrospective of the work of Joanna Quinn who is widely acclaimed for her distinctive hand-drawn style and sharp witty observations of human character in her animated films. The exhibition brings together drawings from the last twenty-five years of her career and will be a massive treat for fans, old and new.
