Guest blogger Nigel Walker, @creationfineart, presents his new gallery in Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Creation Fine Arts is a brand new art gallery in Beverley town centre, showcasing the work of talented artists from the local area and around the globe to bring something special to East Yorkshire. My findings so far include skilled art works by painters, print makers, photographers, ceramicists, wood turners, jewellers and sculptures. All of which represent contemporary art work at its best.

The gallery’s first show of work by sixteen Bulgarian printmakers is a first for the UK although all have international reputations in the art world.

This project has been two years in the making and I chose the location because the space lends itself so well as an art gallery. There are four large areas within the gallery, each displaying a different theme. It is my intention to offer a place for visitors to relax and enjoy their surroundings but also to buy unique gifts and collector’s items all in one place.

I am looking forward to showing visitors around the building, parts of which date back 500 years – it is a wonderful place which until now has remained a hidden gem.

Creation will be running special events and unique shows throughout the year and gallery tours will take place every Thursday at 2pm.

OPENING HOURS: Gallery opens to the public from 4th June. Wednesday to Friday 10.30 – 18.00, Saturday 9.30-18.00 and Sunday 10.00 – 16.00.

The gallery can be found at 7 North Bar Within, Beverley (above Barbour clothing). Please visit www.creationfinearts.co.uk, call 01482 868884 or email nigel@creationfinearts.co.uk.
