The Nice List: Black Dog Books

bookshop1

Is it a shop, is it art and are you brave enough to pay a visit? Black Dog Books is a pop-up antiquarian bookshop nestling within a railway arch that is home to BlackRat Gallery. Why not take a peek inside?

Reports have already been received of books flying of eerie incidents and strange happenings, including books flying off the shelves and lights switching themselves on and off. Could it be the spirit of legendary Victorian book dealer F.J. Williams who disappeared in 1903, rumoured to haunt various pubs and houses around the East End?

Black Dog Books is a fully functioning bookshop, complete with customer assistant and an antique till. So why not take this unique opportunity to combine your christmas shopping with some culture this year. The shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and entry is free.
