Ticket Offer for Roundabout Season at Sheffield Theatres

One Day When We Were Young
One Day When We Were Young

If the main stage at the Crucible is a place for big names and canonical works like ‘The Wire Othello’ then the Studio is a for risk-taking and writing where the ink is barely dry. You can enjoy both this month in a season of new work co-produced with renowned theatrical innovators Paines Plough. The triumvirate of new plays kicks off with One Day When We Were Young by Nick Payne which explores a wartime romance as it develops over 60 years. Next up is Lungs, directed by Resident Director Richard Wilson and written by Duncan MacMillan, which explores two very contemporary anxieties – global warming and parenthood. And for desert there’s The Sound of Heavy Rain by Penelope Skinner, the tale of a private investigator trying to find a vanished cabaret singer.

Sheffield Theatres are offering Culture Vulture readers £5 tickets for the performance of One Day When We Were Young on Friday 7 October, as well as £5 tickets for Lungs on Monday 24 October and also Heavy Rain on Monday 21 November. The offer is subject to availability and can only be used for these shows. Readers should quote ‘Culture Vulture’ for the ticket offer which can only be booked over the phone on 0114 249 6000.
