Private View invitation: Leeds Art Fair

The Light, Leeds
Exhibition open to public Friday 1st May to Monday 4th May
Private view for The Culture Vulture readers – 30th April 6-8pm

Readers of The Culture Vulture have been very kindly invited by the chair of Leeds Art fair to pop along to The Light on Thursday 30th April and join their friends and sponsors at the private view, which we can see from the list of sponsors may include a nice tipple from Cordoniu

The fair has been going for 26 years, so it’s likely you have experienced its delights already, but if not you may find a unique (and indeed usually affordable) piece of artwork to take home or back to the office. Leeds Building Society certainly did in 2008, purchasing a number of artworks for their reception and boardroom. Good on them, supporting northern artists and brightening the offices for their staff and visitors alike.

For the second time, there is a satellite event, which opens up opportunities for younger talent from the three higher education institutions studios, artist led groups, new galleries and the Dortmund Group (Leeds Twin City is Dortmund – did you know that? Twinned for 40 years no less)

  1. I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is something not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I stumbled across this in my search for something concerning this.
