The Sparrow, reviewed here last year, is one year old this week – and to cap it all, they’ve just been awarded ‘Pub of The Year’ by Bradford CAMRA; as well as being named in ‘The Top Ten Beer Bars in Britian’ by The Guardian.

It’s richly deserved for the team behind the laid-back Beer bar, who have  transformed their corner of Bradford into a beer-hunter’s haven with thier simple mix of good music, great beer and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Sparrow is a bar that the region, quite simply, would be worse off for not having.

To celebrate, they’ve brewed two new beers (both IPA’s) with Saltaire Brewery, and have pulled out all the stops to bring you great beer from the likes of Red Willow, Quantum, Ilkley, Kirkstall, and Huddersfield’s Magic Rock.

Not only that, but they’ll be filling the fridges with new and rare beers from around the world. In short, if you live in Yorkshire (or further away) and you’ve not sampled The Sparrow yet, then this is week is the time to do it!
